Since the age of seventeen, Pastor Juan Miguel Paredes has devoted his life to serving the Lord, building his ministry on a foundation of prayer. He founded the global outreach "Tap Me If You Need Prayer" and leads Zealous Christian Church as its founding senior pastor, partnering in both life and ministry with his wife of twenty-seven years and their six children.

 

Miguel brings together faith and compassion, holding an associate degree in Christian Ministries from Belhaven University and certification as a mental health liaison through Lighthouse Christian Ministries. For fifteen years, he has responded to both physical and spiritual crises, uplifting senior communities in the nonprofit sector. Pastor Miguel’s passion is to inspire others to flourish. As an artist, he finds inspiration in the beauty of nature, the power of music, and the art of photography.

Betsy Paredes, First Lady of Zealous Christian Church, is the heart behind the scenes, supporting Pastor Miguel in pastoral care while skillfully managing the ministry’s logistics and administration. With a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Betsy has spent the past decade inspiring young minds as a middle school English teacher in Lake County and nurturing the next generation through her dedicated work in youth ministry.

Together, Pastor Miguel and First Lady Betsy are guiding their six children, from elementary age to adulthood, to grow in faith and reverence for the Lord. For them, nurturing their family is their highest calling and greatest joy before God.
