STATEMENT OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE...

We believe in one eternal God, limitless and unchanging. He fills every place, knows every heart, and holds all power. His holiness, truth, and love are flawless and complete.

We embrace the unity of the Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three Persons sharing one divine essence. Each is fully God, distinct yet inseparable, co-existing in perfect harmony.

God the Father, alongside the Son and Holy Spirit, reigns over all creation. Nothing escapes His sovereign hand. His promises stand unbreakable, and He weaves every detail for the good of those who love Him. Out of boundless love, He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to rescue humanity and invite us into lasting fellowship with Himself.

Jesus Christ, God's Son, was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, fully divine and fully human. He alone is the Savior of the world. Through His sacrificial death on the cross, Jesus displayed the depths of divine love and justice, removing our guilt and restoring us to God. Rising triumphantly on the third day, He conquered death and darkness, offering undeniable proof of His resurrection. Now ascended to heaven, Jesus intercedes for His people and awaits His return. As the Head of the Church, He is worthy of our worship, love, service, and obedience.

The Holy Spirit, the Giver of life, awakens hearts to the reality of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Through the message of the gospel, He draws people to repentance and to confess Jesus as Lord. He unites believers with Christ, brings new life, and lives within us as a transforming presence. The Spirit magnifies the Son, who glorifies the Father, and guides the Church into deep understanding and vibrant living of God's truth. He is to be honored, revered, and worshiped as God, the Third Person of the Trinity.

God created humanity, male and female, in His own image as the crowning glory of creation, meant to glorify Him through joyful fellowship. Yet, tempted by Satan, people turned away and became estranged from their Maker. Corruption invaded every part of human nature, leaving us powerless to return to God on our own. No matter our achievements or character, we are lost and without hope except through salvation in Christ alone.

The gospel bursts forth as the good news of God's grace breaking into the world's darkness. Christ's crucifixion stands at its heart, His resurrection fuels its power, and His ascension radiates its glory. No other name brings salvation. This free gift comes by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, all for the glory of God.

The true response to the gospel is faith in Jesus Christ and His work, a faith that walks hand in hand with repentance. Genuine repentance transforms lives, and real faith reveals itself in serving God's kingdom. To follow Christ as a disciple means to lay down self, take up the cross, and walk in His footsteps.

The Holy Spirit actively transforms us, cultivating His fruit within our lives. He renews our minds and shapes us into the likeness of Christ. As He guides us deeper into the knowledge of God, He strengthens our perseverance in faith. The Spirit is freely given to all believers, equipping them with gifts to build up the Church and empowering them for ministry in the world. Every gift of the Spirit should be eagerly sought and used with care and order.

The Bible, made up of 39 Old Testament and 27 New Testament books, is God's written Word. It stands as a flawless record of His self-revelation, guiding us to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Each book invites careful interpretation within its context and purpose, calling us to listen in reverent obedience to the living God who speaks through its pages. Every believer is encouraged to study and apply Scripture, which serves as the ultimate authority for Christian life, practice, and doctrine. The Bible is fully sufficient and must remain untouched by outside additions or worldly ideas.

God is gracious, but also holy.  God wonderfully and unchangingly creates every person as male or female.  These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.  The term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as defined in Scripture.  God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are biblically married to each other; therefore, any form of sexual activity outside of this established parameter, including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography, is sinful and offensive to God.  References: Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 2:18-25, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:18; 1 Corinthians 7:2-5, Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, and Hebrews 13:4.

All human life is sacred and created in God's image.  Human life is of immeasurable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death; therefore, we are called to defend, protect, and value all human life.  References: Psalm 139:1-24, Romans 13:9, and Proverbs 24:11-12.

By His Word and Spirit, God forms the Church, calling people from every background into the fellowship of Christ’s body. The Church is not just an institution or denomination, but a community of true followers who have embraced the gospel. Its purpose is to worship and glorify God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and to serve Him by carrying out His will on earth. This means spreading the gospel, planting churches, and making disciples everywhere. Christ has given the Church gifts and ministries—prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—to equip and mature His people.

Water baptism is reserved for those who have received Christ’s saving grace and chosen to follow Him. In obedience to Jesus and as a public testimony before God, the Church, and the world, believers are immersed in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This act powerfully symbolizes our union with Christ in His death and resurrection, marking the end of an old life and the freedom from sin’s grip.

The Lord’s Supper is a sacred meal for true followers of Christ. It represents His body broken and His blood poured out for us, and is to be celebrated throughout our lives as a sign of ongoing participation in His saving work. As we approach the table with faith and self-reflection, we remember and proclaim Christ’s sacrifice, receive spiritual nourishment, and affirm our unity with fellow believers.

The end of all things will unfold with the glorious, visible return of Jesus Christ. The dead will rise, the living in Christ will be transformed, and all will face judgment. Christ’s kingdom will be fulfilled in a new heaven and a new earth. Those apart from Christ will be separated from God, but the righteous will live forever in His presence, serving and praising Him without end.
